Courtney Jost

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Major life transitions can leave you feeling uncertain, disconnected, or struggling to find your footing. Whether you’re navigating the journey into motherhood, adjusting to life after high school or college, redefining your identity after a relationship change, or seeking better balance in your personal and professional life, Courtney is here to support you. She helps clients make sense of these pivotal moments, offering a compassionate space to explore emotions, strengthen relationships, and cultivate a deeper understanding of themselves.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Courtney specializes in working with individuals facing significant life transitions, self-discovery, and identity exploration. She frequently works with new and expecting parents, young adults stepping into independence, and individuals seeking clarity after major life changes. Her work focuses on relational and attachment concerns, burnout, self-worth, and creating a more balanced and fulfilling life. Whether you’re feeling stuck in old patterns, struggling with shifting relationships, or redefining your sense of self, Courtney provides the guidance and support you need to move forward with confidence.

Courtney’s approach is rooted in both holistic and evidence-based practices, blending traditional therapy with mindfulness and somatic awareness. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), with training in motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and narrative therapy. She also completed advanced training in Applying Psychoanalysis in Social Work at the University of Texas, deepening her understanding of how past experiences influence emotional well-being and identity. Drawing from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and self-compassion practices, she helps clients untangle the emotions and beliefs that may be holding them back.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Courtney is a certified yoga teacher and incorporates mindfulness, breathwork, and body-based practices for those interested in a more holistic approach to healing. She believes in the power of connecting mind and body to help clients regulate emotions, increase self-awareness, and feel more present in their daily lives.

Courtney’s presence in therapy is warm, down-to-earth, and deeply attuned to each client’s needs. She understands that transitions—whether joyful, uncertain, or painful—can stir up complex emotions, and she offers a space where clients feel truly seen and supported. Her goal is to help clients navigate change with resilience, strengthen their relationships, and uncover a sense of self that feels authentic and fulfilling.

Originally from New York, Courtney loves discovering new coffee shops, spending time outdoors, and balancing her life as both a fur mom and a human mom. She values the importance of self-care and is passionate about helping others create space for their own well-being.

If you’re in the midst of a life transition, feeling disconnected, or searching for a deeper understanding of yourself, Courtney is here to walk alongside you. Together, you can build a path toward confidence, clarity, and balance.
