Mackenzie Paolacci

Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate

Let’s be real—life can be messy.

One minute, you’re managing things just fine, and the next, you’re wondering how "just a little stress" turned into tears in the grocery store parking lot. Whether you're facing a major life change, navigating ADHD, dealing with family conflict, or simply struggling to keep it all together, Mackenzie understands—and she’s here to help.

Mackenzie Paolacci, LCSW-A, provides compassionate support for individuals and families who are overwhelmed by life's demands. Whether you're feeling bogged down by daily tasks, managing ADHD, dealing with burnout, or struggling with stress, Mackenzie offers a safe space to help you process, cope, and build resilience. She specializes in supporting individuals experiencing genuine dissatisfaction with their lives, guiding them toward balance, clarity, and lasting change.

Mackenzie’s work extends to those navigating relationship and family conflicts, identity transitions, and the often difficult balancing act of personal growth and caregiving. Whether you're facing strained family dynamics, feeling unheard in relationships, or simply feeling lost in the midst of change, she brings warmth, insight, and a nonjudgmental approach to help you move forward with confidence.

When working with gifted individuals and those with ADHD, Mackenzie understands the complexity of fast-thinking minds and sensitive emotional landscapes. Her approach helps clients harness their strengths while addressing the stress, burnout, and relational challenges that often accompany neurodivergence.

Mackenzie also provides therapy for children, teens, and families, drawing on her training in Functional Family Therapy (FFT). This evidence-based model focuses on improving communication, reducing conflict, and fostering long-term positive change within family systems. With children and teens, she brings a relatable, down-to-earth approach that helps even the most hesitant clients feel comfortable expressing themselves and building confidence.

Her therapeutic style is eclectic and creative, blending techniques from Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, art-based practices, and mindfulness. She also integrates solution-focused and person-centered approaches, ensuring that each session is uniquely tailored to meet clients where they are and support their personal growth.

Mackenzie earned her Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2023, and she is passionate about helping people create meaningful, positive change in their lives.

Outside of her work, Mackenzie enjoys spending time outdoors—whether it's a walk on the beach or soaking up the sunshine in her yard. She also enjoys working out, crafting, and spending quality time with her friends and family. A highlight of her daily routine is walking her dog, Abby, who sometimes makes a guest appearance in virtual sessions, bringing a little extra joy and warmth to the day.

If you’re ready to improve your wellbeing, reduce stress, and navigate life’s transitions with more ease and confidence, Mackenzie is here to support you every step of the way.
